May has been a month of travel for us. First to my folks for a weekend, then to Steve's for a long weekend over Mother's Day, then last weekend a good bit of driving (though not nearly as much as my folks!) to get and return Anna so that she could babysit for us so we could attend a wedding. Whew. This weekend seems to be fairly free except some church obligations, and I'm crafting a long "to do" list for my landscaper (Steve). I'm on a potted plant/ornamental grass kick and am rounding up whatever large pottery specimens I can find on sale. Also on the lookout for some wrought iron chairs and table, and some decorative weather-resistant bunting. Thrilling, no?
The camera hasn't been out much, but here's what's been going on in my phone (and sorry for the poor quality, focus doesn't seem to be my forte):

Impromptu picnic on the way to Gram S's. This was an unexpectedly huge hit, the kids loved it |
We visited the Museum of Play where there was a huge kids sized Wegmans. You even got to print a receipt for the food you "bought" |
being a pilot |

Hen and her beloved Sheffie |
More driving.... |
She wasn't thrilled with her crown |
Hudson was thrilled with his cousin Ava, though. She was so sweet and gentle with him, and he thought she was the best thing ever |
Dumb face here, but Steve got me the sunglasses I'd mentioned once I'd wanted for Mother's Day. |
Picnic games |
The cousin's have a trampoline.... |
They never turn out, but this was a lovely sunset from a great viewing spot |
Quick 1 hour date away from the kids to eat frozen yogurt and watch the sunset (thanks, Mom S!) |
Hudson is a lean, mean, climbing machine. On everything. He doesn't know how to get down, but he insists on pulling to stand and cruising on everything. Then he wants down and screams "MAMAMAMA!" till he's rescued, then it's right back up on something else. It's getting pretty tedious. |
He loves the slide |
Waiting for her 3 year check up. She was perfectly behaved, I was very proud of her |
Henri sneaks my phone, this is a shot she took. Love his eyes! |
With 4 teeth coming in at the same time, the Chewy Q is getting quite the workout |
Lots of yard work going on lately |
Loves sticks |
First green smoothie. He didn't come up for air till it was gone |
Not the best lighting or pose, but Katie's gown was stunning and she was beautiful. Very lovely wedding, we had a great (childless!) time. |
Broke with tradition and didn't go to Ogunquit after the wedding, but the much closer Nahant. Water was pretty warm (it's all relative up here!) and the weather lovely |
She's a beach girl through and through |
Out of order, but the whole family in NY |
Where she goes, he tries to follow |
And where he goes, she tries to go too |
Helping to get the patio cleaned |
